Error: "Server not responding"

    1. Did you use Dial-Up Networking to dial into the network before opening Netscape?
    2. If not, double-click the My Computer icon on your desktop.
      • Double-click the Dial-Up Networking icon.
      • Double-click the CocoNet icon.
      • Click the Connect button.
      • Once connected to CocoNet, open Netscape.
      • Check mail with Netscape as before.
  1. If you did dial into CocoNet first, open Netscape Navigator

  2. Select Mail and News Preferences from the Options menu within Netscape.

  3. Click the Servers tab.

  4. Enter the following information in the Mail section:

    Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: mail.coconet.com 
    Incoming Mail (POP) Server:  mail.coconet.com
    Pop User Name: 		     Type your username.
    Mail Directory:		     Click the Browse button 
    			     to select a folder for  
    			     your mail storage.
    Note: There may be a default directory already  
    chosen, if so you may leave it as the Mail  
    Directory folder.
  5. Enter the following information in the News section:

    News (NNTP) Server:	news.coconet.com 
  6. Click OK.
